Scoring systems vary between Solitaire versions. Common scoring rewards moving cards to foundations and revealing hidden cards, while some rule sets penalize time or repeated stock passes.
Why scores differ
Different websites and software can use different point values, timers and bonuses. Always check the rules for the specific version you are playing.
Score versus winning
A high score is not the only goal. A move that earns points but blocks a future sequence can be worse than a quieter move that reveals a hidden card.
